i want to ask if there is any way that i can get data from Plaxo, for example I need to send my company profile to all advertising agencies in United Arab Emirates is this possible?
My question is: how can plaxo help me to get the data I need to promote my business?

WOW there are some hateful people out there. I hope your hatred isn't like that with everyone you know. Peace to you people, It's just cable and internet, NOT life or death. Seriously, if you talked to any company the way some of you do, do you really expect them to do their best. You have to remember that companies are made up of PEOPLE like YOU. So treat them as a human being some kind of fool. If you talked to me that way over the phone to get something done, I would be more likely to hang up on you or not take care of the situation at all and say that I did. If someone talked to you this way do you really think you would do your best to make sure they were taken care of. Put yourself in their shoes and talk with some dignity, respect and intelligence.

If you actually believe that corporations behave like "normal" human beings then you've got a screw loose! Corporations are made for profit. The fustrated people above are venting at the corporation Comcast and not individuals who work there AFAIK. The only similarity of corporations with humans is that of a psychopath.

I am sorry you were forced to sell or merge the company, but this was planned for some time. The market for billable services is expanding and Plaxo's model complements a number of platforms, ie. Facebook und Comcast. By selling to a company, however, known as a ISP and Telco-service provider it is seems clear that lack of cash flow and a need for billable model were needed. This service should be repackaged and resold to Telcos as an Value-Added service in order to insure Customer retention.

It's your turn now not to waiste your time and contact the site and request immediate action by exposing information regarding the subject that enrolled with your information as to their IP address and other possible information which you can use for authorities to investigate these crime commiters.
Success in your endeavours and I sure hope you will be able in straithening things out with these bastards who are constantly stealing others personal information for their benefits.

These things are rarely a good thing for the customer. Since when did corporations exist that put the customer first? Comcast are a good example. They'll readily sell me more and more TV channels containing ever more dross, but the internet service sucks, because they don't make money out of it like they do TV. I don't want 300+ TV channels, I want 50MB+ internet, but until or unless they see some kind of maximized shareholder revenue in that, they're not interested.

I would like to know how I c an retrieve the information that has been shared with Plaxo. I like all the other Plaxo customers joined under the premise that there would be no information sharing. I truly do not want to sacrifice the trust that I have built with the contacts I have because Plaxo breached their contract. Back in 2004 when I joined I scoured their privacy agreement looking for indicators that if they were to sell that they would release my information.

I am very worried that Comcast will misuse the information that I ported between one computer to another under the misconception that there was a level of privacy.

We use plaxo's tool that lets people log into their various emails and get us the emails on out website. Will this merger mean that this feature will be discontinued? If so, any suggestions for alternatives?

i dont really see a lot of difference since comcast bought out time warner in my market - except i get espn2hd and dont get HDNET and my internet cost has increased $8 and my over all bill is up about $25.

Based on that i would start planning on paying for your Plaxo services

Dear Plaxo/Comcast users:

I had previously registered with Plaxo . I decided to not use the service, as I already was receiving spam each time I created a new Comcast mailbox - before I had a chance to send a message using it. Directly sharing personal information (my contact list) with a third party didn't seem wise.

Today I received a Business connection request. in the name of from someone that I knew. When I went to the indicated address I entered a circular trap of signing in /going nowhere. It appears to be impossible to accept an invitation.

It is inconceivable that a legitimate social networking site would work this poorly. What this looks like is a VARIATION OF PHISHING and social engineering where the attack vector contacts an attcaker and VOLUNTEERS INFORMATION without being asked.

The information that a subscriber voluntarily provides can be used to gather validated email addresses with known social relationships.

This can be used as an attack vector for phishing, and is more effective than an email worm. When combined with the "single sign-on" security problem of many people using the same email address, user name and password for every site they visit (unbelievable but true), using this site amounts to financial and social suicide.

I liked the old Plaxo when it wasn't trying to be Face book.. I don't necessarily want to be connected to everyone in my address book but I would like to be able to get updated info from people with out having to BE CONNECTED. I think you have lost part of what made plaxo work. It used to be I sent out an update request and people filled in the info and that was that....Now people shy away from answering because they don't want or need another social network and as a result I don't have updated information in my address book......something for you to think about!

I looked into and signed up for Plaxo over 1 year ago. At that Time, I decided to not use the service. I cancelled my account and tried to eliminate any sign that I was there. Just today recieved a invite from a friend that they had signed up. Well the FUNNY part is that plaxo somehow ppicked out of their list of over 350 people; 3 names that just happened to be on my old list.
I'll bet anyone $10.00 that plaxo doe snot keep their privacy policy in mind when trying to promote their product. AND NOW COMCAST?!?!? fuckin forget it.

Plaxo customer support is awful! I have the premium service, constant issues with syncing with my mobile phone, account being locked out. I really dislike plaxo as I have 4 service requests in 1 year. I would suggest to anyone thinking of premium services, you are throwing away good money.

Comcast sucks and that is why I discontinued my premium subscription of Plaxo service. Until then I loved the service as a very early subscriber. But I know comcast and is is only a matter of time until they screw up Plaxo or drive the cost through the roof.

I am sure that Ben and co left the deal with a truck load of cash. Good for them. Bad for us.
