My biggest gripe with Plaxo for the last 3 years has been that after people initially updated their own contact info so my address book stayed current, most did not join plaxo, and subsequent requests to update their info were ignored. Now, 3 years have passed, people have moved, gotten married, gotten divorced, and half my address book is out of date or has some working info, and some outdated that I have to wade through whenever I want to contact them.

I think this is a great step by Plaxo to take advantage of a database that users DO update regularly to help its users maintain updated address books. If your facebook doesn't relate to your address book, then you have the option to simply not use this integration.

I THINK THESE TYPES OF SOCIAL WEB SITES NEED TO BE CAREFUL OF CHEATING SPOUSES WHO CHEAT ON THERE OTHER HALF. BECAUSE OF THESE SITES BEING MADE. WHICH RIPS FAMILY'S APRT FROM ONE ANOTHER. THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE RESTRICTIONS.

I agree with peejayemm and have had Plaxo techs tell me to "delete" my business connections in order to get Pulse to work properly. I am a highly connected networker and have a similar history to peejayemm in that Plaxo engineers and technicians played games with me once I reached 1000 plaxo connections and used the same patience comments as well as they increased capacity. I ceased my premium subscription due wholly to this incident and the poor choice of alternatives for me as a business person.

I assume this same maximum connections limitation is still in place in pulse and would be interested to find out if this would have an impact in the Scoble scenario above.

I couldn't agree MORE!! I've wanted to connect my Plaxo & LinkedIn accounts for a long time . . . and would also like to know if Plaxo can intergrate my WordPress blog postings, similar to how LinkedIn allows for this.

Great idea and thank you for helping us Plaxo users be more efficient with how we communicate with our online networks . . . I've been trying to integrate my WordPress blog with Plaxo, LinkedIn offers a simple way to intergrate my blog postings into their system . . . am I missing something with Plaxo? I haven't seen WordPress in the sharing area that allows me to intergrate my blog postings into Plaxo.

I can't connect because it says I must be logged into Face Book, and I am logged into Face Book. I tried several different things and nothing works.

Hello, I do not remember "joining Plaxo" or inviting Monte Julian to join. He is a friend of mine, no problem there. I was in Facebook and took leave of that, resigning from Facebook. I do not want to be a member of any of these friendship web sites. Thank you.

Thanks for crystalizing this. Yes, we would *love* to do something similar with LinkedIn. We did Facebook first, because we had access to APIs that would allow us to do a great integration. If we had similar access with LinkedIn, we would happily honor LinkedIn connections as business connections on Plaxo (and vice versa), and enable two-way flows of content.

Implicit in some of the posts I am reading is the question, "Why did Plaxo choose Facebook and not LinkedIn?" I know I am curious. Synchronization between Plaxo and LinkedIn seems to make more sense to me because of their fundamentally professional nature. While Facebook is gravitating that direction, it is does not own that space liked LinkedIn does.

Is there an effort to offer some of the same interoperability between these two sites?

This is great, but I would really like to see my contacts on Facebook wich are not registered w/ plaxo, also getting coped over also it would be really nice for the Facebook calendar to sync with all the rest of them instead of just being an extra calendar in the calendar menu!
Also can you do something about plaxo reposting a status update that is the same as my curent status on facebook.
Other then that thanks for this it is great! :-)

Sync with Facebook? how about sync with Linked In. Plaxo is a business contact list which should remain separated from the chaos that is face book
